Game overview
A colony sim where the colony is ammunition
Hull Rupture is a real-time base-management and tower-defense roguelite from Konfa Games, published by tinyBuild. You play as Despot, a tyrannical AI steering humanity’s last warship toward the alien homeworld. Earth is gone. The crew is expendable. The ship must not stop.
A run asks you to survive 20 waves while building production chains inside the hull, expanding the ship block by block, and covering the aliens’ breach routes with turrets. The twist is that combat never pauses the economy: humans keep working, reactors keep burning and resources keep moving while boarding parties tear through the outer hull.
Between waves you choose a route across a galaxy map, spend tokens in a themed shop, and decide whether the next module should fix your economy or stop the next breach. Every system feeds momentum, and momentum is the win condition. The Hull Rupture wiki indexes every confirmed system; the guides explain how to use them.
Ship systems
Three systems, one engine of survival
Everything in Hull Rupture competes for the same resources. Learn how the three pillars interact before your next run.
Shipbuilding
Fifteen hull shapes, adjacency rules and alien routes. Build a ship that is efficient to work in and expensive to cross.
Production
Energy, humans, fuel, tokens and rare inputs. Diagnose the constraint before adding another module to a starving chain.
Defense
Drop pods, breaches, kill zones and the Airlock. Turrets are the plan; crew units are the safety net behind them.
Database
Know what every module costs you
The Despot’s Chamber is not just a kit printer. The Bioreactor is not free fuel. Every room adds weight, draws workers and changes what the next wave can kill. Use the database to check a module’s job before it becomes a permanent hole in your layout.
| Module | Job |
|---|---|
| Despot’s Chamber | Produces free random module kits and buffs adjacent modules |
| Airlock | Final defense point and crew defense staging area |
| Engine | Converts fuel and crew into travel speed |
| Human Storage | Increases human capacity |
| Artifact Storage | Holds artifacts and supports artifact synergies |
Live intel
What changed in the demo
The September overhaul rewrote hull expansion and the shop. If you played the June demo, these are the updates that invalidate old advice.
Hull Construction deep dive
Fifteen block shapes, no rotation, paid skips and a hard rule: never block the Airlock or Engine. Placement now controls alien routes.

A new Rat Turret turns targets into rats, and shop randomization now favors kits you have not seen this run.

November 4 locked in. Themed loot boxes replace individual kits, the Chamber produces free kits and turrets become movable.
